Intermediate course: level A2 and B1
So why choose our "intermediate" A2 or B1 course?
Speaking Spanish well, using the correct tenses and improving your level of understanding.
At this stage many of you have a lot of vocabulary and can get by in short conversations but are feeling “ stuck” when trying to have a chat outside of the basics. You may understand more of what is being said in Spanish but struggle a little to “get “all of the conversation quickly. You may often find yourself after the fact saying to yourself,“ I knew how to answer that but needed a little more time to process it!”. This is very normal at this part of the process so don’t worry or become disheartened. You are not alone! Our instructors all understand the frustration and desire to be able to speak better. They were once learning another language in a foreign country too!
How is this group structured?
Using a 3 day structure:
- Day 1: Verbs
- Day 2: Grammar
- Day 3: Conversation
In small groups set in an informal setting, our instructors use many different tools to keep the class different and diverse. Our lessons are NOT designed for you to be “talked at!” they are student-centered and inclusive. The structure helps reinforce what you already know and build on that solid base to raise you to a higher level of understanding, knowledge, and confidence. The ELE Actual A2 or B1books,( depending on the class) and interactive conversations, audio and visual aids, Spanish music and books help to keep the classes diverse and interesting. Our ‘speed dating” style conversation day is always a lot of fun and students enjoy the opportunity to practice what they have learned in our safe environment before taking it to the outside world.
We encourage students to make use of our library of easy-reading Spanish books at this stage to encourage using the language outside of textbooks and learning manuals. You can start your learning journey or dive in at any level you feel comfortable with here at Spanish in Estepona. Some students like to reinforce what they covered before and feel confident before moving on, whilst others like the challenge of a higher level to push themselves or step a little outside their comfort zone. We understand each student has their own style of learning and encourage that while showing you some of our tried and tested learning methods.
